Hi, my name is Vincent Lee and I'm 21 years old. I'm originally from Klang. I am pursing my degree in Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media for nearly a year.
Before enrolling at Taylor's University, I worked in various positions at restaurants, including as a waiter, chef, barista, and food preparation counter. However, I quit after seven months when I was offered a promotion, because I was unprepared for that yet. I then worked as an admin at a maid agency, but I left after seven months due to the negative working atmosphere.
Besides wanting to pursue higher education, I had also previously studied at TARUMT for a year, where I completed a Foundation in Arts course. This course would have allowed me to continue my studies in real estate, a field I was interested in because of my desire to bring happiness and security to people, with commissions being a secondary motivation. Studying at TARUMT was a good experience, as it taught me responsibility both as a student and as an adult. I achieved a 4.0 CGPA in my last two semesters, which was a great accomplishment.
After completing my foundation course, I considered transferring to another institution as the cost of living and academic fees at Taylor's University were nearly the same. My first choice of course at Taylor's was Sustainable Construction, but it was still waiting for approval from the government, so I had to consider other options. I stumbled upon a course named UI/UX, and I was drawn to its catchy name, so I decided to enroll in it.
When enrolling to Taylor's, I have set several goals to be achieved within this 3 years of study. First, I aim to expand my networking as I likelihod to play around with one group of people only, thus it limits my ways of thinking, and narrow my perspectives. During the clubs and societies days I have planned to join several of them espeacially singing, dancing and swimming. However, I was lazy to scan the code thus I have missed it. Second, I hope to find a new job but it seems impossible as the workload was endless and we are currently suffering from completing the tasks that due before our Week 8 study week.
For the past few months, I have been randomly exploring soul music and became curious about the record labels associated with American soul artists. I initially searched for information about my favorite artist, Blackpink, but was disappointed with the website's poor quality typefaces and low image resolution. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I visited SZA's website, which exceeded my expectations with its impressive interface and user experience, meeting my standards for what constitutes a good website.
First of all, when entering the website, there is a clear call-to-action button that guides users to enter to the homepage.
Then, there are clear internal links that could guide users to their ideal section such as merch and tour. Additionally, the hero image was animated such as the the sea and the leg of the artist swinging back and forth, it makes the website came alives and more interactions.
